A Dream Come True
"Opening this pottery studio has been a lifelong dream, and I cannot wait to share my work with all of you!"
Meet Teresa
After 38 years in the medical field, I’ve stepped into a new chapter of life—one shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong dream finally realized. Opening this pottery studio is more than a career change; it’s the fulfillment of something I’ve carried with me for as long as I can remember.
Working with clay has given me a deeply personal way to explore creativity through touch, texture, and transformation. I’m continually inspired by the process itself—discovering new types of clay, experimenting with different firing techniques, and most recently, falling in love with the magic of wood firing. There’s something incredibly grounding about it, something that connects both the maker and the piece to the elements in a raw and meaningful way.
I believe in always learning, always evolving. Each piece I create reflects that journey—an openness to experimentation and a willingness to embrace imperfection as part of the beauty. I’m deeply grateful to the mentors who have guided and inspired my journey, especially Donn Zver, whose knowledge and generosity have shaped my understanding of the craft in lasting ways.
My wood kiln has become not just a tool for my own work, but a space to share with others. Through workshops, I invite people to experience the wonder of wood-fired pottery firsthand—the anticipation, the unpredictability, and the quiet joy of creating something entirely unique.
My work is deeply intertwined with the way I live. I love to cook and gather around the table, and I’m drawn to the warmth and simplicity of farmhouse style. That love comes to life in the 1846 farmhouse my husband and I recently restored, surrounded by gardens that continually inspire me. Nature, history, and home all find their way into my work, shaping pieces that feel both functional and rooted in story.
Pottery, for me, is more than a craft. It’s a celebration of curiosity, a connection to the natural world, and a reminder that it’s never too late to begin again. I’m so grateful to share this journey—through each piece I make and every person who walks through the studio doors.
